Times of Refreshing

Summer is a time when we bond with loved ones, go on retreats, take a break from our monotonous routines and simply enjoy the vacation. The mental and physical breaks is to recharge our weary minds.
Summer breaks refresh us. So with quiet breaks with our Lord God. Moments spent with God are never wasted time. In His presence, we receive empowering. It can rekindle the dwindling fire for the Gospel and spark a blazing passion to spread salvation to everyone. In His embrace, we experience healing and comfort from all the stressors and pains we have gone through. At the foot of His cross, we receive forgiveness and there we can unload all our weariness, all our heaviness. At His throne, we bask in the fullness of His glory and experience a joy that surpasses all understanding. With Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we savor His rain that showers us. We drink from Him and our thirst is quench. We rest in Him and we are renewed.
In Him, our whole being is refreshed. There is no one in this life that can offer what God has to offer. There is nothing in this world that can surpass the peace and joy that only God can give us. There is nothing, there is no one that we should desire in this world more than God. For only Jesus Christ can satisfy. Only Him can provide continuos times of refreshing.
